The name Débrews comes from the combination of "debut" novel and "brew" coffee which are the heart and soul of this café. This literary and culinary haven is in the heart of New York City. Our cozy place is a curated library that offers a unique space where authors, readers, and food enthusiasts come together to celebrate the magic of storytelling. This artisan café partners with new authors each month to craft a specialty food and drink menu that is inspired by their debut novel, followed by a book club.
The identity design is inspired by classic literature and a love of reading. This café infuses the vintage feel of clothbound books and beautiful end pages as inspiration. The menus are printed on a thick felt paper then bound to cloth covered book board. Our logo is cut out in gold and imprinted onto the cloth in order to resemble beautiful vintage books.
